Ambulance Care Officer

Description:

As an ACO you will work transporting patients with a variety of health needs both in and around Bristol. You will also be required to cover our long distance bookings travelling throughout the UK and Europe. A background in Healthcare is an advantage but not essential.

Following a successful application you will complete a 2 week in house training course including a driving assessment and culminating in a final written and practical exam to ensure your medical knowledge is sufficient.

Medical Monitor & Repatriation Nurse

Description:

Wings Aeromedical has several vacancies for Medical Monitor & Repatriation Nurse each working 2 days per week in the office to deliver case management and repatriation for clients.

To have the necessary knowledge and experience to perform the office work you will have to undertake repatriation work on a regular basis. This may be from anywhere in the world. Call-outs may be at short notice. A high degree of flexibility, a current passport, resourcefulness as well as a willingness to travel are essential.

You must be a qualified medical professional to apply for this position e.g. Nurse Level 1, holding a current registration. You must have 3 years post registration experience in an acute setting preferably ICU. A&E and other acute specialities will be considered. An Advanced Life Support certificate is essential.

Your key responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Repatriation work - worldwide Monitoring and ensuring the quality of patient care and providing advice, guidance and support as appropriate.
  • Maintaining the client relationship to a high standard
  • Reporting Aeromedical Incident Reports related to clinical incidents.
  • Promoting and providing effective communication 
  • Being familiar with and ensuring all dealings fully reflect the Company diversity and equality policy.
  • Promoting a positive culture of Health and Safety awareness amongst their team.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Data Protection Act and maintaining the confidentiality of information consistent with current legislation and the Wings best practice approach
  • Assisting with the monitoring of all medical and safety equipment to ensure it is all up to the specified standard and if not, report as appropriate

Flight Nurses

Description:

Our flight nurses travel all over the world dealing with Commercial Repatriations as well as Air ambulances. This is a very rewarding role that requires nurses to be available at short notice. In order to apply for this position you will need to have a minimum of 3 years acute/critical care nursing experience and ideally have passed a recognised in-flight training course. If you have not passed a course we offer an in-house course specifically to work for the company.

Flight Doctors

Description:

Flight Doctors will travel all over the world dealing with Commercial Repatriations as well as undertaking Air Ambulances. This is a very rewarding role that requires staff to be available at short notice and have a degree of flexibility. All roles will receive a competitive rate of pay with training provided for all staff as required.

Doctors will require a minimum of 2 years post registration experience in an acute field and hold a current ALS certificate.
